Missions Procurator

The current Missions Procurator is Father Klaus Väthröder, S.J.  He grew up in Frankfurt am Main, and after his ordination to the priesthood in 1991, he went to Venezuela in order to finish his studies in economics and collaborate in a Jesuit social centre in Caracas, where he also served as a parish priest in a marginalized neighbourhood and advocated for development and justice on an international level.  He has known the Jesuitenmission very well for many years, and is its director since April 2007.

Ludwig Wiedenmann, S.J. was the director of the Bonn Jesuit magazine, The Catholic Missions, for many decades.  At 78 years of age, he is a kind of elder statesman in the Jesuitenmission.  He supports his “boss” in Public Relations with energy and empathy, and he takes on any arduous task which needs special care, accuracy and endurance.

Volunteers

A large number of volunteers come to the Jesuitenmission regularly to help with logistical work such as packaging letters, address searches, and other secretarial tasks.  Some of them have been with us for many years, but we are always happy to welcome new volunteers as well.  If you have time and are interested in cooperating, please contact Barbara Walter.  We look forward to seeing you!
